The Master's Degree in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation (Profnit) is a face-to-face master's degree in a national network dedicated to the improvement of professional training to work in the competencies of the Technological Innovation Centers (NITs) and Innovation Promoters in the academic, corporate, governmental, social organizations, servers and members of teams of Science and Technology Institutions (ICTs), as well as in other related instances of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation (SNCTI).

The Program is offered in a national network by the Brazilian Association of Managers of Innovation and Technology Transfer (Fortec) and, in the State of Tocantins, by the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), through Research and Extension Center Observatory of Applied Research in Journalism and to Teaching (Opaje).

Evaluated with note 4 by the Scientific and Technical Council of Higher Education (CTC-ES) of CAPES, at its 159th meeting, held on June 18 and 19, 2015, is offered at Campus de Palmas from the second semester of 2018 for graduates of the various courses / areas and has an interdisciplinary perspective. In addition to offering a training opportunity at a stricto sensu level to professionals from various areas in the state of Tocantins, the master's degree seeks to broaden discussions and research that is more up-to-date and committed to the local reality, inaugurating a new moment of investigation and commitment to a quality in the region, as well as establishing a dialogue between intellectual property and global issues in contemporary society.

Goals

ProfNit / UFT focuses on the themes of innovation and transfer of technologies and their interfaces, in an interdisciplinary perspective. Its specific objectives are:

* Provide the professional with the development of skills that demonstrate the ability to articulate critically with authors, theories and studies with a view to stimulating the promotion of interlocutions between the subject, society and the regional and global innovation scenario, from an interdisciplinary context ;

* To provide the training of multiplier agents and researchers in the area of ​​Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer and Technological Innovation, in a relevant way and articulated with the activities of Technological Innovation Centers of the organizations.
