LABORATORY OF FOOD ANALYSIS (Área: 42,0 m²).

Purpose: Experiments related to analysis and characterization of physical-chemical properties of food and beverages.

Available resources: refrigerator; analytical balance; potentiometer bench, pH meter; conductivity meter; determinant of humidity; infrared heat source; tube stirrers; flexible packaging sealer; BOD stove; stove with air circulation; soxhlet oil extractor; fiber determiner; digestor block with scroller; nitrogen distiller; water distiller; deionizer; viscometer, bench refractometer, spectrophotometer, vacuum pump, solids crusher; flame photometer; exhaust hood; rota-evaporator; water bath; glassworks.



LABORATORY OF SENSORY ANALYSIS (Area: 65 m2). 

Purpose: Experiments and Procedures for Analysis of Foods and Beverages.

Available resources: Stove, blender etc); data processing room; environment with individuals booths.

 

LABORATORY OF DEHYDRATION, DRYING AND SEPARATION OF BIOMOLECULES (Area: 70m2). 

Purpose: food dehydration experiments and purification of food biomolecules from cerrado. 

Available resources: refrigerator; freezer horizontal; analytical balance; electric oven; magnetic stirrer with heating; blender; spectrophotometer; vacuum filtration kit; thermostatic bath; mechanical stirrer; microcentrifuge; automatic burette; barrel; pHmeter; distiller, stove; glass drying stove; deionizer; dehydrator crafts; swivel chair with wheels; handmade solar dehydrator; lyophilizer; spray drying; gas dehydrator; thermohigroanemometro digital, soxhlet extraction battery; bench centrifuge; glassworks.

 

LABORATORY OF SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTATION (Area: 75,0 m2) - Multiuser

Purpose: analytical tests and experimentation, physical-chemical analyzes

Available resources: preparation room; chromatography room; hood with exhaust gas; drying greenhouses; autoclave; baths; HPLC liquid chromatograph; gas chromatograph; DSC thermal analyzer; centrifuge; analytical balance; water purifier; freezers 280 L; 320 L refrigerators; notebook; data-show; DVD; projection screen; glassworks. 

 

LABORATORY OF GENERAL AND APPLIED MICROBIOLOGY (Area: 75,0 m2)

Purpose: research in the areas of yeast biodiversity associated with plant substrates, study of hydrolytic enzymes produced by yeasts and fermentation processes for the production of alcohol, food and fermented beverages.

 

Available resources: vertical autoclaves; greenhouses; microwave; laminar flow chamber; semi-analytical balance; PH meter; steam drag microdistiller; common optical microscope; incubators with shaking and temperature control; bench fermenter; hand refractometer; boiling point; glassworks.

 

LABORATORY OF APPLIED MICROBIOLOGY (Area: 90 m2) - Multiuser

Purpose: provide the necessary infrastructure for research work

Available resources: mixer, agitator-heater, autoclave, analytical balance, semi-analytical balance, water bath, BOD, vacuum pump, laminar flow chamber, centrifuge, colony counter, water distiller, sterilization oven and drying, stove for culture, refrigerators 360L, sample homogenizer, magnifying glass, microwave, microscope, sample filtration system.

 

LABORATORY OF BASIC SCIENCES AND HEALTH (Area: 60 m2)

Purpose: multidisciplinary research laboratory with main focus in the areas of Medicinal Plants, Toxicology, Nutrition and Theoretical Chemistry.

Available resources: 02 centrifuge, 1 exhaust hood, 01 pHmeter, 01 sterilization oven, 01 inverted fluorescence microscope, 01 water bath, 01 rotavaporator, 01 BOD greenhouse, 01 water distiller, 01 computer for molecular dynamics simulation, 01 analytical balance. 12. BIOTERY: linked to LaCiBs. Available features: 01 analytical balance, 01 exhaust gas pump, 01 rack with exhaust for animal handling.

 

LABORATORY OF KINETICS AND MODELING OF PROCESSES (Area: 60 m2)

Purpose: Kinetic modeling of food formulation and storage based on empirical and phenomenological models, as well as analyzing the physicochemical stability of the products developed.

LABORATÓRIO OF FITOTHERAPY (Area: 140m2)

Purpose: Phytochemical screening, antioxidant activity testing, extraction and isolation of bioactive compounds, and essential oil analysis and extraction.

LABORATORY OF CHEMISTRY (Area: 65 m2) - Multiuser

Purpose: develop teaching and research experiments in the areas of General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. 

Available resources: refrigerator; vertical freezer; semi-analytical balance; Analytical balance; stove for drying and sterilization; muffle, magnetic stirrer with heating; incubator with orbital agitation; UV / vis spectrophotometer; muffle oven; pHmeter; centrifuge for test tubes; water bath; melting point and boiling point meter; Kjeldhal distiller; water distiller; cyclic redissolution voltammetry; reverse osmosis; exhaust hood; flame photometer; viscometer; rota-evaporator; UV chamber; refractometer; glassworks.

 

LABORATORY OF NUTRITIONAL EVALUATION (Area: 72 m2)

Purpose: avaliação antropométrica e da composição corporal específicas para os diferentes grupos etários da população. 

Available resources: four-pole bioimpedance; mechanical and digital adipometers; mechanical and digital scales for adults and children; adult anthropometer and infantometer; anthropometric trunks; computers with calculation software and dietary prescription; acrylic food pyramid with replicas of silicone food, mimicking the natural size of the portions.

 

LABORATORY MULTI-USER (Area: 150 m2)

Purpose: to meet the different research demands of UFT's postgraduate programs, providing highly complex equipment.

Available resources: shaker shaker table, water bath, refrigerator, freezer, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, COLILERT system, BOD determinator, COD determiner, fat extractor, nitrogen distiller, Gas Chromatograph equipped with FID detector - lipids, Gas Coupled Gas Chromatograph MS - lipid analysis, alcohols etc., High Efficiency Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) with automatic injector - analysis of carbohydrates, alcohols and organic acids, tube shaker, desktop computers.

 

LABORATORY OF BIOTECHNOLOGY, ANALYSIS OF FOODS AND PRODUCTS (Area: 150 m2)

Habite – Biotechnology-Companies Incubator of UFT – Campus de Gurupi-TO

Purpose: The laboratory is divided into two units: LABAP - Microbiological Analysis and LABAP - Physical-Chemical Analyzes. The laboratory's purpose is to provide services to animal and vegetable food industries; development of new products together with partner companies; and the development of research in the areas of biotechnology, microbiological processes, biochemical processes.
